The recent events in Ukraine have left us shocked and saddened. As we prepare to celebrate Australia Day we are reminded how blessed we are to live in a peaceful, stable, democratic and free country, whilst our brothers and sisters in Ukraine once again face a despotic and corrupt regime which deprives our people of those freedoms that we in Australia take for granted.

• 11.00 Divine Liturgy to Pray for our Brothers and Sisters in Ukraine.
• Immediately following the Divine Liturgy a Solemn Memorial Service (Panakhyda) for the Repose of the Souls of the Martyrs of the Maydan

please send a letter to your MP asking for representations to the Hon. Julie Bishop MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs, with regard to the current situation in Ukraine, including human rights abuse and the use of deadly force by its Presidential regime.

starting from tomorrow every Liturgy in our churches (Canberra and Queanbeyan) will be for our Brothers and Sisters in Ukraine and for the peaceful settlement of the conflict
