St. Volodymyr's Parish

Last weekend our Parish had a specials days. We celebrated the Feastday of St. Michael, the patron of Queanbeyan church and 45th anniversary of the Blessing of the church.

Our celebration started on Saturday night by Great Vespers with Lytia. Next day we have Divine Liturgy which was leaded by dean Very Rev. Fr. Simon Ckuj. On the sermon he said that we need to be like children with open heart and bright mind to accept the mysteries that God reveals to us.

After Divine Liturgy were held Blessing of the water. We prayed that these water would be for everyone who drink it for the health of soul and body.

Following all prayers we have the Feastive lunch at the Ukrainian hall. More then eighty people took park in this celebration. During the lunch were sounded words of congratulation fron Fr. Simon Ckuj, dean and parish priest of St. Andrew's parish in Sydney, Fr. Michael Solomko, parish priest of St. Nicholas parish UAOC, Mr Stanislav Stashevskyi, Chargé d'Affaires a.i., Mr. Peter Lutak, chair of UCA and chair of parish council of St. Volodymyr's parish. this lunch was great opportunity to meet together, to celebtare together, to remind everything what was happened during last 45 years and to have just a good time.

Also, all present had chance to listen a concert which were prepared by Fr. Andriy Mykytyuk, Andrew Liszczynsky and quartet from Canberra.

That was really great celebration in our Parish.
