St. Volodymyr's Parish

Welcome everyone on Sunday, April 1, after Divine Liturgy at 11 in Lyneham to parish hall to watch the movie "The Passion of Christ".

Spilne sviachene (Easter Luncheon) in our parish will be held on Thomas Sunday (the first Sunday after Easter), April 22, 2011 AD, after Divine Liturgy at 11:00 in Canberra. Please note this day in your calendars. More information will be from next week.

If you love to paint Pysanky, or would like to learn how do this come to our parish hall two evenings, 2 and 3 April, from 17:30 to 20:00. Come and enjoy of this wonderful tradition. Let us hold holidays together.

We have left it very late this year but a cooking working bee will take place on .... WEDNESDAY, 28 MARCH 2012 from 10am

A successful day where Ukrainian handcrafts, embroidery, egg painting and cooking took centre stage for a short period of the day.  Over 4 hours we had approximately 40-50 people who came to watch the 2 demonstrations and, in the case of the cooking one, to actually make some Varenyky but also to taste.

With fewer people available to mow the grass around the church, hall and presbytery, we have begun a program of mulching and planting shrubs.  Mulching began yesterday and shrubs will be planted in late autumn and winter.

St. Volodymyr’s church will have Open Day on Tuesday, 20 March 2011 from 10 am to 2.30 pm as part of ACT Seniors Week .

After a long holiday Ukrainian Language Classes are back.

For the second year the parish community of St. Volodymyr, Canberra-Queanbeyan, held a joint Farewell to the Carols event.

In Canberra, General Meeting will be held on Sunday, 19th February 2012 AD at 13:00 at the parish hall.
